You can also get a Free Copy of your Credit Report (freecreditreport) from one of the credit bureaus at http://www.annualcreditreport.com. There will be a charge to get your credit score.

Credit Bureaus

You may also obtain a copy of your credit report from the credit bureaus. You may get a copy from a single credit bureau for that bureau or you may get a 3-in-1 tri-merge report from any one of the bureaus.

The tri-merge will be one copy of your credit report but will have information about credit items being reported about you from all three of the crdit bureaus.

There will be indicators associated with each item showing which of the bureaus is reporting that item. All items are not necessarily on all three credit bureau databases.

Print a copy of your credit report so you can make notes on your credit items as you go along.

It is sometimes good to keep a close eye on your credit report and score. You can do this by signing up with a credit monitoring company. You may want to do this for a few months to a year if you are working on improving your scores and/or you suspect some fradulent acitivity regarding your credit history.
